komoran woonekker – new music and film

komoran woonekker is the name of the new collaborative project between andy rowe and alex monk. developed over an 18 month period and utilising found sounds, acoustic instrumentation, sampling, voices, turntablism and manipulated tapes.

the approach is playful and experimental and the unique contribution of both artists is clearly apparent in each piece. combining the unsettling surrealism of the Butthole Surfers with raga guitars and ambient krautrock drone.

the resulting album can be listened to and purchased via the collaborations page either in digital or limited edition cassette form. a film for the first track on the album, spray dust, can be watched below. filmed around east london during summer 2018
